Yuletide Rules Confirmed

You will all be glad to know that after a flurry of responses to the poll, Yuletide Rules was selected by you beardgamers (the one of you that wasn't me that voted that is). Whilst February may seem to some to be a little late for such a wildly festive title, at least one game planned was received on Economic Hex-Based Tile Laying Game Fest: 2013 and is in need of a good, hard playing.

Some details are below and a picture of some games that might be played are on the right.

Date: 1st February 2014
Venue: Roond Mah Bit
Itinerary:
- funtime games, almost certainly going to be meeples of some kind involved (eyes the euros in the pic)
- eating stuff that is tasty and/or that I have cooked

There have been some exciting new additions to the pile of games over the festive period:
  - Agricola... played a couple of times so far. Got really lucky with a clay fuelled mini industrial revolution and kinda pwned everyone in the second one. Gotta love them animeeples.
  - Mice and Mystics... not played yet, but I really like the look of it.
  - Dobble... super fun advanced snap/throwaway fast n furious frenzy. Cracking wee filler.
  - Carcassonne... played a good few times and been thoroughly enjoyed by all each time.

There are still a fair few unplayed games I am kind of keen to try and get a play of.. top of my list are:
  - Archipelago
  - Smash Up
  - Mundus Novus

Anyhoo.. a big shout out to my comancheros in Cyprus - particulalry Ari - who are boardgaming it to the max in greeklish (with heavy scotto-cypriot accents). Rummi yer kubs and cit on yer dels!!

Ciao-fer-now.
